2 former WWE Women’s World Champions return on RAW after SummerSlam

Finally, on the Monday Night RAW after SummerSlam, WWE Superstars Becky Lynch and the last Women’s World Champion, Stephanie Vaquer, made their returns from their respective hiatuses.

During the Aug. 3, 2026, edition of RAW, Judgment Day’s Liv Morgan (the current Women’s World Champion), Raquel Rodriguez, and Roxanne Perez attacked Sol Ruca. As they stood tall over the former Women’s Intercontinental Champion, Lynch returned, challenging Morgan to a match for the Women’s World Championship.

The Judgment Day members then left the ring. As they made their way backstage, Vaquer’s music hit, and “La Primera’s” pyro scared Morgan, Rodriguez, and Perez. She took out Rodriguez and Perez with ease.

She chased Morgan back to the ring. Vaquer attacked Morgan as Lynch watched from the corner of the ring. Lynch then got down and had an intense stare-down with Vaquer.

What do Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE RAW returns mean?

Lynch and Vaquer’s returns could spell trouble for Morgan’s reign. As “The Man” pointed out, Morgan went more than 100 days before defending her championship (her first title defense was at SummerSlam against Iyo Sky).

Suffice it to say, Lynch isn’t happy about that. She won’t let Morgan get away with going another 100 days before defending it again.

Vaquer, meanwhile, is seeking to avenge her loss at WrestleMania 42. She lost the Women’s World Championship after holding it for 210 days at WrestleMania 42 to Morgan.

It’s unclear if WWE will have Lynch and Vaquer go after Morgan separately or in a triple threat match. Perhaps singles matches will lead to an eventual triple threat match down the line. After all, WWE doesn’t have to rush to book marquee matches since the next scheduled main roster PLE isn’t until Money in the Bank on Oct. 10.

Either way, fans should be thrilled to see Lynch and Vaquer back in the fold after several months. Vaquer hasn’t been seen since WrestleMania, and Lynch’s last match was during the June 8 edition of RAW. She lost to Morgan in a Queen of the Ring first-round matchup.
