WWE legend Nikki Bella suffers wardrobe malfunction at SmackDown taping

Disaster almost struck the taping of the Aug. 28, 2026, edition of Friday Night SmackDown as WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella suffered a wardrobe malfunction.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for the Aug. 28 edition of SmackDown.

During the upcoming episode of SmackDown, Bella made her return from hiatus to attack Paige, who lost to Jacy Jayne. At one point, as she was holding Paige by the head, her pants were being pulled down.

Luckily, she had shorts on underneath the pants, which led to some speculation that she was promoting a new product in this moment.

One fan on X, formerly Twitter, believed that Bella was promoting her new boy shorts, which are available to purchase on WWE’s online shop.

Will WWE edit out Nikki Bella’s wardrobe malfunction from SmackDown?

Fans will have to wait and see on Friday night whether or not WWE edits out the wardrobe malfunction. Luckily, she did have shorts on underneath her pants, and they were a WWE product. Perhaps they will keep it in for the product placement.

It could have been a disastrous moment for Bella, had she not had her boy shorts on. Either way, she stood tall at the end of the altercation over Paige.

Bella and Paige appear set to feud over the coming months. Their rivalry began after Bella attacked her former friend. Paige had returned at WrestleMania 42, teaming up with Brie Bella due to Nikki’s ankle injury.

Paige would win tag team gold with Brie Bella at WrestleMania 42, and they would hold it for over 90 days until the July 2026 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. They lost the Women’s Tag Team Championship to Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley and Jainey Red).

At SummerSlam, the Bella Twins and Paige would face all three members of Fatal Influence. They lost, and afterward, the Bellas turned on Paige. However, Brie Bella suffered an injury in the match, so she won’t likely be a part of her sister’s feud with Paige, at least in the immediate future.
