Who will be Tottenham manager at start of 2026/27 season?
Tottenham’s season could be going from bad to worse and now with Thomas Frank being sacked fairly late on, attention turns to who will be the next manager.
Spurs could be looking at an interim manager until the end of the season but need a boss to see out the season and avoid what could be one of the biggest relegation shocks in football.
There are a few managers considered at this early stage to take charge of Spurs come the start of the next season.
But with the club currently just five points clear of the relegation zone, they could be looking at starting that very campaign in the Championship.
Avoiding relegation is the priority though, all while competing in the Champions League, having finished fourth in the League Phase and straight into the knockouts in March.
Roberto De Zerbi, former Brighton boss is the big favourite, having been sacked the same morning as Frank from his club Marseille.
The Italian has helped guide Marseille into 4th currently in Ligue 1 but after a dismal 5-0 defeat to PSG the club announced his departure, having also been knocked out of the Champions League.

bet365’s Steve Freeth said: “Spurs were 200/1 for an unlikely relegation after beating Manchester City at the Etihad in late August. However, Thomas Frank’s honeymoon period is well and truly over with Tottenham now trading 5/1 for the drop.
“With poor results inevitably comes pressure and it feels like the Dane needs a significant upturn in results to remain in North London at the start of the 2026/27 campaign.
“Pochettino seems to have been fluttering his eyelashes at his former club recently and he could be available after the World Cup. Meanwhile, links with Roberto De Zerbi will likely be prevalent after his departure from Marseille.
“Marco Silva is also one to keep an eye on; having done an excellent job at Fulham, all the talk suggests the Portuguese will leave when his contract expires in the summer.”
