Where to watch Rangers vs Celtic: Kick-off time, team news and talkSPORT coverage for Old Firm contest

The Scottish Premiership title race is heating up, and it could take a huge twist this weekend as Rangers face Celtic.

The Glasgow rivals are the traditional powerhouses in Scotland, but this season, we could have a new champion.

It looks to be a three-way race with Hearts leading the way.

The Edinburgh-based side have a four point lead over the Gers and are six ahead of the Bhoys.

However, Celtic have a game in hand on the two above them.

By the time this one gets going, Hearts would have already played Aberdeen, meaning their lead at the top could be extended.

But the winner in this Old Firm will get a huge boost to try and kick on to claim the title.

Rangers vs Celtic: Team news

The home side were without Dujon Sterling last time out due to a small injury, so it remains to be seen if he is fit.

Danny Rohl also won’t be able to call upon Connor Barron and Bailey Rice.

Meanwhile, Ryan Naderi is likely to only be fit enough for the bench.

For Celtic, Martin O’Neil is without Arne Engels due to injury.

Auston Trusty was sent off in a 2-1 defeat to Hibernian at the weekend and will be suspended.

Kelechi Iheanacho is doubtful, and Callum Osmand is a long-term absentee.

Rangers vs Celtic: What has been said?

Gers legend Kris Boyd thinks if there is a loser at Ibrox, they would be out of the title race.

He said: “Whoever loses it, for me, is out of it, especially Celtic. I can’t see any way back for Celtic if Rangers have to get the victory.

“Yes, they’ll have that game in hand on a Wednesday night, but looking at it right now, Rangers now have to, or Celtic, have to win the game to keep in contact with, or close to, Hearts because I do think they’ll get the three points against Aberdeen on Saturday.

“So there’s going to be huge pressure on it. Rangers are at home. I don’t think Danny Rohl has any problem in getting his team up, well for an Old Firm game anyway, but at home, I don’t think there’ll be any problem.

“The fans will be right behind the team like we saw against Hearts. It’s probably as vocal as we’ve heard a Rangers fanbase for a number of years at Ibrox, so I don’t think that’ll be an issue.

“It’s over to the players to go and put on a performance that leads Rangers to getting three points.

“But I’ll say it again, I think whoever loses it is out it.”
