Jude Bellingham scored an equaliser just before half time with a great touch and left-footed finish.

He was there to score the winner in extra time as well when Morgan Rogers‘ shot was parried out in his path.

And Thomas Tuchel‘s side face an incredibly tough task to make the final as they face-off against the reigning champions and Lionel Messi.

Argentina saw off Switzerland 3-1 in their quarter-final tie, and it is all set for a belter in Atlanta.

The winner will take on France or Spain in the final on Sunday.

England vs Argentina: Teams

England will be without Jarell Quansah, who serves the second of his two-match ban.

There will also be concern over Declan Rice, who went off at half time against Norway.

The Arsenal man has been dealing with pain all tournament and had to go off during the quarter-final.

Bukayo Saka also wasn’t fit enough to start that game, so it remains to be seen if he can be in the XI from the off.

Bellingham, Rice and the other England players at risk of suspension all avoided bookings.

Meanwhile, Argentina have a clean bill of health, bar Facundo Medina, who missed the win over Switzerland.

England vs Argentina: What has been said?

Tuchel wasn’t happy with England’s performance against Norway.

But when asked about it, Bellingham publicly hit back.

Tuchel said: “The result is fantastic, we are in the last four – it’s amazing – but I’m not happy with the performance.

“In every sense. Again the commitment is there but we made life very very difficult for ourselves in the way we played, how we played: sloppy, a lot of technical mistakes, not fast enough, not repetitive enough. We were lucky today.”

Bellingham wasn’t too impressed: “Yeah, well, whatever. Whatever.

“It’s difficult out there. It’s a tough shift. All the players have put in a tough shift, so my thoughts and appreciation goes to the players who were out there and put in a great shift yet again.

“Maybe he doesn’t know what it’s like to play in those kind of conditions against Erling Haaland, [Martin] Ødegaard, [Antonio] Nusa, [Alexander] Sørloth. That’s not an easy team to play against. So, I think we’ve tried to create a positive environment.

“You’re not going to win every game, popping the ball and making a thousand passes. Sometimes you have to win dirty, and we’ve done that again tonight.”
