Arsenal will hope to build on their strong start to pre-season with another victory against Spanish opposition this week.

The Gunners beat La Liga outfit Girona 4-1 on Saturday and they are now set to take on Real Betis in their next friendly.

Mikel Arteta‘s side cruised to victory in their first outing of pre-season, with new signing Christos Tzolis on the scoresheet.

Now, build-up to the new campaign continues with a clash against Betis, who have won three of four friendlies so far.

They beat fellow Spanish side Almeria 1-0 last time out.

Arsenal have only played one pre-season game, while their opponents have played four, so they can expect a real fitness challenge.

Where to watch Arsenal vs Real Betis

Arsenal’s clash against Real Betis will be played on Wednesday, August 8, with kick-off set for 7:30pm UK time.

The game will not be played in Spain or England though, it is being held at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.

It is the club’s first pre-season game in Dublin since 2018.

Fans will be able to watch the action live on Arsenal’s website and app, via their Pre-Season Pass.

Supporters can sign up for full coverage of their friendlies for £14.99, while just to watch this game alone, it will cost £6.99.

Arsenal vs Real Betis: What has been said?

Speaking after Arsenal beat Girona, Arteta was pleased to be back with his players again after the summer.

The Gunners boss said: “It was great, obviously. It was a different summer in terms of the time-out that we had.

“Last week we played a game in-house and I was very pleased with that and today as well I’ve seen a lot of things that make me very, very positive.”

On his young players involved in the squad during pre-season, Arteta added: “That’s a great opportunity to see them live.

“They’ve been with us for almost two weeks now with us.

“It’s great to see how they react to a competitive match. I’m really happy with what I saw.”
