Chet Holmgren and the Thunder continue their title defense after sweeping the Lakers. They now advance to their second consecutive Western Conference Finals.
Steals and turnovers made the difference in this matchup. The Thunder prevailed in both categories after making 12 steals and limiting their turnovers to just 12. It wasn’t the same for the Lakers after they recorded three steals and turned the ball over 19 times.
Four players scored in double-digits for Oklahoma City in the win, including Holmgren. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 35 points, eight assists, one rebound, and one steal. The Thunder will look forward to their journey in the West Finals, taking on the winner between the San Antonio Spurs and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Game 1 would take place next week pending the results of the Spurs-Wolves series.
