Watch Flyers catch NSFW strays before 2026 NFL Draft
The Pennsylvania rivalry between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Pittsburgh Penguins chooses no location or event.
On Thursday, the Flyers caught some strays during the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, which was held in Pittsburgh. Perhaps unsurprisingly, some Pittsburgh fans took the opportunity to take shots at the Flyers, with the cameras rolling and a horde of media members around to cover the event.
At one point during the ESPN College Gameday coverage of the NFL draft, fans can be heard shouting a profane chant in the background, targeting the Flyers.

Anchor Rece Davis tried to ignore the noise, but everyone with their audio on would not have missed the chants in the background.
The Flyers and their fans probably couldn’t care less about those vulgar chants.
After all, Philadelphia is dominating the Penguins in the first round of the 2026 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. This is also the first playoff appearance for the Flyers since 2020, and they are clearly making the most out of it.
The Flyers have won the first three games of the series, including Wednesday’s 5-2 home victory at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia. So far in the series, the Flyers have outscored Pittsburgh 11-4.
The Penguins don’t seem to have a clear answer to Philadelphia’s scorching attack, as they are now on the verge of getting swept. Getting targeted by disrespectful chants from Penguins fans during a non-hockey event is the last of the Flyers’ concerns, as they look to punch their ticket to the second round of the NHL playoffs in Game 4 at the same venue.
