Fans sitting in the 500 level noticed the possum crawling through rows near Section 534 before several spectators began reacting and recording videos. One Dodgers fan wearing an Enrique Hernandez World Series jersey eventually grabbed the animal by the tail while surrounding fans erupted with cheers and laughter throughout the section.

The Dodgers completed a dominant three-game sweep from Friday through Sunday, outscoring the Angels 31-3 during the Freeway Series. Sunday’s unusual interruption only added to a frustrating weekend for the Angels, who have continued struggling throughout the 2026 season.

Security eventually brought over a cardboard box to safely contain the opossum before removing it from the seating area. Fans from both teams laughed and celebrated together during one of the strangest scenes seen at Angel Stadium in recent years.

Although the bizarre moment briefly distracted fans inside Angel Stadium, the scene quickly became one of the most talked-about viral moments from the weekend rivalry series between the two Los Angeles teams.
