‘Unbelievable’ Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby get Game 3 shoutout from Knicks’ Mike Brown
Mike Brown provided solid praise for Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby after their performances in the New York Knicks’ Game 3 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday night.
New York did its job defending homecourt in the first two games of the series, winning Games 1 and 2 in historic and convincing fashion. The next step was for them to win in enemy territory, a factor that Cleveland hoped would work in its favor.
New York had other plans, especially Bridges and Anunoby. The former finished with 22 points, six rebounds, three steals, and two blocks. On the other hand, Anunoby had 21 points and seven rebounds. Brown reflected on their efforts after the game, praising them for finding ways to help New York win Game 3.
“I told him and OG, because I don’t call a ton of play-calls, you guys got to find different ways to impose your will on the game. They’re both doing a phenomenal job of imposing their will on the game,” Brown said.

How Mikal Bridges, Knicks played against Cavaliers
Mike Brown is right to credit Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby. After all, the Knicks are one win away from reaching the NBA Finals after beating the Cavaliers in Game 3.
Perimeter shooting and free throws made the difference in this matchup. The Knicks prevailed in both categories as they made 39% of their shots from downtown and converted 24 free throws. It wasn’t the same for the Cavaliers as they only made 29% of their 3-point attempts and got 12 shots at the line to go down.
Six players scored in double-digits for New York in the win, including Bridges and Anunoby. Jalen Brunson led the attack with a stat line of 30 points, six assists, three rebounds, and one steal. Landry Shamet put up 14 points and three assists, while Karl-Anthony Towns provided 13 points and eight rebounds.
The Knicks look to complete the sweep and advance to the NBA Finals when they face the Cavaliers on the road in Game 4. The contest takes place on May 25 at 8 p.m. ET.
