Tyson Fury is within touching distance of a blockbuster bout with Anthony Joshua.
All ‘The Gypsy King’ has to do is beat 46-year-old Polish veteran Mariusz Wach in Thailand this afternoon.
Providing Joshua does the same against little-known Albanian Kristian Prenga tomorrow night in Saudi Arabia, then a deal is in place for the Brits to finally meet in late 2026.
Fury was last in action in April when he ended a 16-month hiatus to outpoint Russian slugger Arslanbek Makhmudov.
After Joshua decided he needed a warm-up bout following his involvement in a tragic car accident at the back end of last year, Fury opted to do the same.
The initial plan was for Fury to box in Dublin in early August, but a makeshift fight in aid of a children’s charity in Thailand quickly took shape.
