Tyreek Hill tipped for Tua Tagovailoa reunion but Super Bowl favorite ready to launch $30m bid
The Los Angeles Rams may not be done.
General manager Les Snead launched two blockbuster offseason trades to add Myles Garrett and Trent McDuffie to an already elite defensive unit.

The moves sent the Rams to the top of the list of Super Bowl favorites, even if spending a first-round pick on backup quarterback Ty Simpson raised eyebrows.
With reigning MVP Matthew Stafford at quarterback and ascending superstar Puka Nacua joining future Hall of Famer Davante Adams at WR, there is plenty of talent on offense too.
Adding Tyreek Hill could be the final piece of the jigsaw.
The former Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins wideout has the true game-breaking speed Rams head coach Sean McVay lacks.
After tearing his ACL in Week 4 of the 2025 campaign, the 32-year-old was released by the rebuilding Dolphins.
CBS Sports’ Garrett Podell says the phenom “appears to be grinding his way back.”
“It’s likely that any NFL team interested in Hill’s services will wait to sign him until the 2010s All-Decade team wide receiver feels like he can clear a physical examination,” he added.
“That may not be until after the preseason is over or into the start of the 2026 season, given the complexity of a simultaneous ACL tear and knee dislocation.
“With the Los Angeles Rams all in for another Super Bowl pursuit in 2026 following the trade for 2025 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett, why not add Hill too?
“He wouldn’t have to be heavily relied on while playing alongside 2025 NFL receptions leader Puka Nacua and 2025 NFL receiving touchdowns leader Davante Adams. [Sean] McVay and 2025 NFL MVP quarterback Matthew Stafford could simply dial up a few shot plays for Hill every now and then while otherwise maximizing the threat of speed to create space for everyone else.”

The Rams may be the perfect landing spot.
Hill would have a chance at winning the Super Bowl after choosing a payday over glory and leaving the Chiefs before Patrick Mahomes‘ second and third titles.
Los Angeles has $18.8 million in cap space, per Over The Cap, with the WR projected to sign a relatively cheap two-year, $30 million deal due to his injury.
Hill has 11,363 yards and 83 touchdowns on 819 career receptions, with career earnings of nearly $150 million.
Falcons and Chiefs in for Tyreek Hill
Another team strongly considered to be in the hunt is the Atlanta Falcons.
“Hill could easily leapfrog Jahan Dotson and Olamide Zaccheaus to be WR2 for the Atlanta Falcons behind only Drake London,” Podell wrote. “He also became the first player in NFL history with multiple 1,700-yard receiving seasons after his first two seasons catching passes from Tua Tagovailoa in 2022 and 2023, and Tagovailoa is now in Atlanta.

Wide receivers of all-time – Does Randy Moss or Jerry Rice come out on top?
Running backs of all-time – Stacking Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, Emmitt Smith and more
Tight ends of all-time – How does Travis Kelce compare?
“Even if Michael Penix Jr. ends up starting the vast majority of the games, Hill has plenty of reps banked catching passes from a left-handed quarterback, thanks to his four seasons in Miami with Tagovailoa.”
Atlanta went 8-9 in 2025 but has plenty of skill position talent with Bijan Robinson and Kyle Pitts joining London in a gifted group.
Quarterback could be a problem but Tagovailoa has shown he can run an elite offense and adding Hill could help him run it back.
The Chiefs are another intriguing option with Mahomes lacking a true downfield threat ever since Hill’s departure.
As for the injury, the former track star is defiant.
“The Cheetah don’t slow down. Ever. So to everyone wondering what’s next… just wait on it,” he wrote in February. “The Cheetah will be back…Born Again.”
