Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards drops NSFW revelation after watching Dwyane Wade tape

On Monday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves got back into their series against the Denver Nuggets with a strong fourth quarter to even things up at one game apiece. This was a good bounce back game from Anthony Edwards, who scored 30 points and looked much more like himself after a rough game one.

He also played some solid defense, including coming up with a clutch block late in the fourth quarter, and after the game, Edwards broke down how he looks up to another defensive-minded shooting guard: Dwyane Wade.

“I just be watching Dwyane Wade clips. He was beating s*** at the rim. So I just be trying to beat s*** at the rim. That’s all… I don’t care who it is… I don’t give a damn, I’m tryin to beat that s***,” said Edwards, per Dane Moore on X, formerly Twitter.

Edwards has long been known as a legit two-way player, although his defensive reputation has taken somewhat of a hit this year as he has attempted to battle through injuries and inconsistent play.

Overall, Monday’s game was an impressive one for a Timberwolves team that has been up and down throughout the regular season and didn’t give fans much to be enthusiastic with their performance in Game 1 on Saturday. However, although it wasn’t his most efficient night, Edwards seemed to be less bothered by his knee injury throughout Monday’s game, getting to the rim with more consistency and putting relentless pressure on the Nuggets’ questionable rim protection.

The Timberwolves now have home court advantage in the series, and will look to get in the driver’s seat of this matchup when they hit the floor for Game 3 on Thusrday evening from Minnesota.
