The 1 thing that shone through about Seahawks’ Day 2 picks
The Seattle Seahawks were happy with Jadarian Price in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, but they seem to be even more pleased after landing Bud Clark and Julian Neal on Day Two.
Clark and Neal effectively replace veterans Riq Woolen and Coby Bryant, who left the defending Super Bowl champions in free agency. General manager John Schneider praised his newest players for their confidence, saying he loves the unique personalities both Clark and Neal will bring to the locker room.
“[Bud Clark and Julian Neal are] athletes, tough,” Schneider said, via ESPN’s Brady Henderson. “[Neal] is a fairly quiet guy, but he’s a really confident athlete. He’s been through a lot. The young, hipper scouts have a saying: ‘leveling up.’ This guy’s done it… They’re both really confident guys. Bud’s gonna be fun too. He’s a blast.”
John Schneider said Bud Clark and Julian Neal — Seattle’s two Day 2 picks — are Seahawks “through and through.” Their competitiveness was the first thing he mentioned (before the video began).

Schneider also expressed joy with his trade back with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round. Seattle gave up the 96th pick for No. 99 and an additional sixth-rounder, No. 216.
The Seahawks took Clark with their second-round pick, 35 spots before taking Neal at the end of the third round. The safety Clark will functionally replace Bryant, while the cornerback Neal will help fill Woolen’s void.
Seattle made Clark the fifth safety taken off the board, following Caleb Downs, Dillon Thieneman, Treydan Stukes and Emmanuel McNeil-Warren. Neal was the 10th cornerback drafted, following Tacario Davis and Daylen Everette in the third round.
The Seahawks only have two picks on Day Three to round out their 2026 NFL Draft. Schneider has picks Nos. 188 and 216 in the sixth round before he calls it a day and caps off a five-player rookie draft class.
