Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce receive marriage advice from Tom Hanks at Toy Story 5 premiere

Being married is hard, but Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson tied the knot nearly 40 years ago, so he is equipped to give Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce advice.

At the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles, California, Hanks spoke to E! News. When asked for marriage advice for the high-profile couple, he advised Kelce that “the man must make the waffles on Sunday.”

It doesn’t sound like Hanks was aware of Swift’s involvement in Toy Story 5 until the single dropped. He joked that it was “diabolical” for him to be kept out of the loop. However, he knows they “don’t trust” the cast to stay quiet.

“We were told the day it came out,” Hanks shared. “They don’t trust us, and there is a brain trust that goes along that I am not a part of. So, I just do what I’m told.”

Swift, of course, contributed “I Knew It, I Knew You” to the soundtrack of Toy Story 5. The single was released on June 5, 2026, two weeks before the movie will be released.

Hanks has been part of the Toy Story franchise since it began in 1995. He voices Woody, the lead character of the series, in all five entries of the franchise.

The rumor is that Swift and Kelce will tie the knot on July 3, 2026, at Madison Square Garden. Yes, the World’s Most Famous Arena is set to host one of the biggest weddings of all time.

More than 1,000 guests are expected to be invited to the ceremony, hence the large space. Close friends like Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid are expected to be there.

Their wedding comes almost three years after they started dating. Kelce proposed to Swift before the 2025 NFL season, and now they will get married nearly a full year later.
