Tuesday’s football betting tips
Arsenal to beat Crystal Palace @ 8/15
Chelsea await the winner of this quarter-final EFL Cup tie between Arsenal and Crystal Palace and the Gunners, who last won this competition in 1993, can book a two-legged showdown with the Blues.
Mikel Arteta’s side have responded well from the 2-1 loss to Aston Villa on December 6th, winning their next three matches against Club Brugge (3-0), Wolves (2-1) and Everton (1-0).
Arsenal continue to churn out results and they can pick up another victory against a Palace side who were thrashed 4-1 at Leeds United on Saturday.
It is now three matches without a win for the Eagles and Oliver Glasner’s thin squad appear to be struggling with the sheer volume of matches on both the domestic and European stages.
Arsenal are unbeaten in the last eight meetings against Palace at the Emirates and the hosts can extend that impressive record.
Bet builder
Nigeria vs Tanzania – Nigeria to win, Frank Onyeka anytime goalscorer & Akor Adams anytime goalscorer @ 14/1
Nigeria begin their quest for AFCON glory with a Group C clash against Tanzania and the Super Eagles should have enough quality to pick up the win.
Boasting the likes of Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in their ranks, head coach Eric Chelle has plenty of options to choose from and the class of his squad should tell against a Tanzania side who are on a seven-game run without a victory.
A few goals are expected from Nigeria against a Tanzania outfit who have conceded six in their last two matches, and Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka can get on the scoresheet, as he has done in two of his last three appearances for his country.
Onyeka’s teammate Akor Adams also looks capable of finding the back of the net, something he achieved in his last outing for Sevilla before heading to AFCON.
Special
Tunisia vs Uganda – Ali Abdi to score first @ 9/1
Tunisia are fancied to have a decent challenge for AFCON glory and their first Group C assignment comes against Uganda.
The Eagles of Carthage should overcome a Uganda side who have lost two of their last three games, but the value here comes in the first goalscorer market with Ali Abdi a tempting price.
The 32-year-old Nice defender has netted twice this season, both for his country, and one of those was the opener in the 3-0 victory over Namibia.
