Ivan Toney to score in England v New Zealand @ 2/5

England have named their 26-man squad for the World Cup. But Alex Scott, Rio Ngumoha, Josh King, Jason Steele and Ethan Nwaneri, who are not on the roster, could all play a part for the Three Lions against New Zealand in Florida.

The extra bodies are there as cover for Arsenal’s Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke, as well as Crystal Palace keeper Dean Henderson, who are only expected to link up with the squad at the weekend.

The impression is that many of England’s top performers, who have endured gruelling campaigns in Europe’s top five leagues may be left out by Thomas Tuchel in Florida.

That could give an opportunity to forward Ivan Toney.

The former Brentford man scored 32 goals in 32 Saudi Pro League matches this term. While that is lower-level football, the 30-year-old hit the net regularly in the Premier League, and it appears that Toney is brimming with confidence.

He could lead the line in the absence of Harry Kane and the 30-year-old may also be handed penalty-taking duties.

New Zealand conceded four goals to Haiti on Wednesday and Toney can roar at the head of the Three Lions’ attack.

Panama to beat Bosnia & Herzegovina & under 2.5 goals @ 4/1

There’s an interesting clash between World Cup hopefuls Panama and Bosnia & Herzegovina at the Estadio Rommel Fernandez on Saturday.

Panama went unbeaten in their six CONCACAF qualifiers and, while they will face more taxing opposition later this month, Bosnia & Herzegovina may not offer the test the prices suggest.

The Dragons failed to impress when finishing second in a World Cup qualifying section containing Austria, Romania, Cyprus and San Marino. Sergej Barbarez’s men were mighty fortunate to get past Wales in the play-offs.

Bosnia carried little attacking threat in last week’s 0-0 friendly draw with North Macedonia and Panama can win a low-scoring contest.

Acca of the day

Belgium to beat Tunisia, Wales to beat Romania, Germany to beat USA treble @ 12/1

It’s very much a case of safety-first approach for Tunisia, who hit only two shots on target when losing 1-0 in Austria on Monday.

Belgium picked up a good 2-0 win in Croatia on Tuesday and the Red Devils can win again here.

Wales needed a last-gasp Lewis Koumas goal to salvage a 1-1 draw against Ghana on Tuesday, but the Dragons had 18 efforts on goal and were clearly the better side in that game.

Romania were pretty poor in a 1-1 draw against Georgia, who were without key man Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Wales look overpriced in this spot.

USA were 3-2 winners over Senegal on Sunday, but the USMNT’s suspect defence gave up and expected goals (xG) numbers of 1.66 and they are likely to be punished by a Germany team who hammered Finland 4-0 last time out.
