talkSPORT betting tips – Best football bets and expert advice on Wednesday 22 April
Manchester City can go top of the Premier League table for the first time since August, when they travel to Burnley on Wednesday night.
The Turf Moor clash is one of two top-flight games on the night, with European hopefuls Bournemouth playing host to Leeds United at the Vitality Stadium the other.
Elsewhere in the UK, there are four Championship matches on the same night, with the pick of the bunch being Charlton Athletic hosting Ipswich Town at The Valley.
While in League One, Port Vale face a tough task away at Cardiff City as they attempt to stave off relegation for one more game at least.
We have a 17/5 bet builder on the game at the Vitality Stadium between Bournemouth and Leeds, plus a 19/5 Championship treble to tuck into and our best bet of the day too!

Wednesday’s betting tips
Bet of the day
Erling Haaland 2 or more goals @ 15/8
After a crucial win over Arsenal on Sunday, the majority of observers will expect Manchester City to make light work of struggling Burnley on Wednesday.
The Citizens have won their last 14 matches in all competitions against the Clarets and Burnley have failed to score in 11 of those fixtures.
The aggregate score for those match-ups is 51-3 in City’s favour, with Erling Haaland scoring seven times during that run.
Haaland, who scored the winner against Arsenal on Sunday for his 23rd league goal of the season, bagged a late brace in the reverse fixture in September.
The Norwegian also found the net twice in City’s most recent win at Turf Moor, a 0-3 success in August 2023.

Bournemouth to win / Over 2.5 Goals / Kroupi – Anytime Goalscorer @ 17/5
With Leeds now eight points clear of the relegation zone, they would be forgiven for having one eye on Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
In contrast, Bournemouth are now level on points with the sixth-placed Blues with five games to play and European football a distinct possibility.
The Cherries have climbed up to eighth in the standings on the back of a 13-game unbeaten run in the league, which includes back-to-back away wins over Arsenal and Newcastle United in their last two matches.
The 2-2 draw at Elland Road in the reverse fixture was the sixth time in the last seven meetings that both teams were on the scoresheet.
It’s also worth noting that Eli Junior Kroupi scored a stoppage-time equaliser in that game and the Frenchman has also found the net twice in his last three appearances for Bournemouth.

Outright win in @ 19/5
Charlton v Ipswich
Sheffield United v Blackburn
Birmingham v Preston
A late draw at home to Middlesbrough on Sunday means Ipswich Town remain in second going into the midweek fixtures.
They now travel to Charlton looking for revenge, after losing 3-0 at home to the Addicks back in October when they were very much off the pace.
Kieran McKenna’s men have lost just one in their last 11 league games and face a Charlton team without a win in six.
Sheffield United might not have much to play for, but they have collected seven points in their last four games and are keen to finish the season on a high.
Next up is a Blackburn team hovering above the drop zone, but Rovers have won just one of their last six games with no victory at Bramall Lane since 1994.
Birmingham City’s play-off hopes have diminished in recent weeks but their form at St. Andrew’s remains strong, having lost just three of their 21 home matches this term.
Blues face a Preston team below them in the table and come into this clash on the back of a poor display in a 2-0 home defeat to struggling West Brom.
