OKLAHOMA CITY — All-Star Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs drew first blood in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Beating the defending champions in a 122-115 double-overtime thriller, Wembanyama’s historic 41-point double-double led the Spurs to victory, taking a 1-0 lead in their best-of-7 series.

“Feels like I still got a lot to learn,” Wembanyama said. “And I want to get that trophy many times in my career.”
