Sky Sports NFL broadcast falls silent as studio abandoned over fire alarm during Pats-Broncos
The Sky Sports studio was abandoned after a fire alarm sounded during a live NFL Broadcast.
The New England Patriots are taking on the Denver Broncos for a place in Super Bowl LX and fans were gutted as the stream cut out.

Host Neil Reynolds shared a video on the street outside the building explaining the situation, with Sky Sports News also going off air.
“We’ll be back soon,” Reynolds declared in the caption for his video.
He also admitted to being ‘a little frustrated’ by the situation.
“We just got under way on the AFC Championship Game, Broncos lead by seven,” he said, after Denver’s backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham had thrown an early touchdown.
“Then the fire alarm goes off. We are out of the studio, but we’re just making sure everyone gets out safe.
“That’s the priority… we’ll be back soon.”
As the studio was empty, a message flashed up on screen for viewers that read: “We’re really sorry for this temporary fault.”
Viewers were quick to react to the incident on social media, desperate to find out who was leading in the fight for the Super Bowl, which fans can watch here.
“What the hell has happened to the broadcast? We’ve lost CBS coverage and presenters in the Sky studio? This is a Championship game and Sky have fumbled the ball,” one posted on X.
“Did Sky Sports NFL just not fancy covering that break in play? Just left watching the stadium cam for 5 minutes,” another said.

“What is happening with your NFL coverage?” a third questioned.
“No studio commentary for ages, in commercials just showing a banner?”
After clarifying that a fire alarm had interrupted the broadcast, Reynolds revealed on his X account that this was not the first time it had happened.
“I swear this happened to you last season too?” one viewer wrote, tagging the presenter’s account.
“Yep!!!” he simply responded.
By 9:15pm on Sunday, the studio coverage had returned, with Sky Sports cutting back from the live game for analysis as normal.
“Seven apiece and we are back,” Reynolds said when the broadcast resumed. “It is cold in Denver but I am telling you it is cold outside our studio as well but our fire alarm is over.”

A Drake Maye rushing touchdown had levelled the scores with both teams missing field goals to go into the locker rooms 7-7 at halftime.
The Broncos came into the game as underdogs with Stidham starting just his fifth NFL game.
But the 29-year-old — being cheered on by his model wife — has looked the better of the quarterbacks so far, despite a costly fumble that led to Maye’s score.
