Sean Dyche gives update on managerial future after five months out
Sean Dyche is in no rush to get back into management but admits a return to the dugout cannot be ruled out.
Dyche was sacked as Nottingham Forest boss in February after just four months in charge, and he’s not had a job since.

The experienced Premier League manager was linked to Tottenham amid their unprecedented threat of relegation last season.
That was a job Dyche admitted that he would have taken, but he was never approached by Spurs for the role.
It means it’s now been five months without a job for the 55-year-old, who has been trying his hand in the media in the meantime.
He has become a regular on talkSPORT, joining us as a guest on many occasions, including on the World Cup Weekender.
And when co-hosting the show on Sunday, the Englishman was asked whether he wants to get back into management.
Dyche admitted on talkSPORT: “You never say never.
“It’s the strangeness, the shifting sands of football are really clear and everyone sees it.
“I always give Everton as an example, three years ago everyone thought I’d been interviewed and I hadn’t been by the way… and then it was like: ‘Why do we want him for?’.
“And then three years later, when it was in real dire straits, everyone was like: ‘Yeah, we could do with him now’.
“Jobs can fit you at different times and you manage different situations at different times.

“So am I never going to do it again? No, I’m not saying that.
“But am I opening my eyes to something else with the media work and all sorts of stuff, some silly stuff…
“These are enjoyable things, some are serious and people want some serious stuff, but I want to have some fun with it.”
Dyche’s managerial record
Dyche is known to be one of the best managers in England when it comes to working at clubs with a small budget.
He led Burnley to a seventh-place finish in the Premier League and a European spot during his incredible ten-year spell.
Meanwhile, he also pulled off a remarkable survival in the top flight as Everton boss two years ago.

But at Nottingham Forest, things didn’t go as planned, as after just 25 matches in the dugout he was let go in February.
Dyche won ten and lost ten of his games at Forest before being dismissed, despite losing just one of his final five matches.
With Burnley, he was manager for 425 games in total, winning 152 of those and also winning a Championship title.
At Everton, during his two years in charge, he won 26 of his 83 matches across all competitions.
Now, Dyche is waiting for his next opportunity, with that potentially arising once the 2026/27 campaign gets going.
His first ever job came with Watford, but he has already ruled out the chance of ever going back to his old side.
