Seahawks stars lead wild locker room celebrations after Mike Macdonald left stunned by Super Bowl moment

As green and blue confetti fell from the sky at Levi’s Stadium, Mike Macdonald took it all in for a moment.

The Seattle Seahawks head coach had just masterminded one of the most dominant Super Bowl wins in recent memory.

His defense was key in downing the New England Patriots 29-13, with three takeaways, six sacks and a touchdown the top line from yet another signature performance from ‘The Dark Side’.

Seattle’s offense, meanwhile, executed with patience and poise — they also didn’t turn the ball over during a postseason run that included wins over the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams en-route to Super Bowl LX.

Under Macdonald’s eye, it all came together perfectly across the 2025 season, which has now concluded with the Seahawks hoisting the Lombardi Trophy for the second time in franchise history.

But before he took to the podium to celebrate with his players, the third-youngest head coach ever to win the Super Bowl took a moment for himself on the field.

Emotional Mike Macdonald takes in Super Bowl win

After getting a Gatorade shower as he stepped off the sideline, Macdonald held it together as he strolled over to meet Patriots counterpart Mike Vrabel for a sporting handshake.

Then, the magnitude of the occasion set in.

Seattle’s head coach gazed to the sky as confetti fell and fireworks exploded around him, before he stooped over, hands on knees, as the emotion finally hit.

When he suddenly became aware of the camera in his face, Macdonald stood tall once more, hands on hips, with his mouth wide open.

“He deserves that bath, what an incredible job he has done,” NBC broadcaster Cris Collinsworth remarked, as the scene unfolded.

“Take it all in,” play-by-play announcer Mike Tirico added.

Seattle hired Macdonald as their head coach ahead of the 2024 season.

He went 10-7 in his first year, but failed to make the playoffs.

This time around, the Seahawks finished 14-3, and were near perfect in the postseason to secure Super Bowl LX glory.

And once the emotion of the occasion at Levi’s Stadium had washed over Macdonald and his newly-crowned world champions, it was time for the party to get started in the locker room.

Cigar smoke wafted from every corner as players danced and jumped around to the music blaring in the background.

Future, Drake, Kodak Black and NBA YoungBoy were all said to feature on a stacked playlist.

The Lombardi Trophy was passed around as plenty took the opportunity to pose for photos they will remember for a lifetime, while others partook in plenty of celebratory drink.

A group of offensive linemen gathered to shotgun Busch Light beer, while others played beer can baseball, running and sliding between the lockers.

Some, meanwhile, took a quiet moment for themselves. According to Sports Illustrated, players zoned out on their cell phones while sipping glass bottles of Don Julio 1942 — which are said to retail for more than $140 a pop.

A small amount of gold Armand de Brignac champagne was dotted throughout, though the giant laundry carts of Coors and Busch beer were undoubtedly the main event.

Forget ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ — these Seahawks star partied the night away 830 miles away in Santa Clara.

And they likely won’t be done celebrating for quite some time.
