Scottie Scheffler, son Bennett, steal Masters show akin to Rory McIlroy
It is Masters week, meaning the entire golf world’s attention is in Georgia at Augusta National. Rory McIlroy is in the field, looking to defend his history-making crown from 2025. Of course, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is expected to be among those challenging the Northern Irishman.
But this week is more than just about the golf tournament. Every year on the eve of the Masters, players compete in the par-3 contest and create memories with loved ones on the course.
Last year, McIlroy and his then 4-year-old daughter Poppy lit up the stands. Poppy drained a lengthy downhill putt that sent the crowd into a raucous, while Shane Lowry lost his mind on the green.
On Wednesday, it was Scheffler’s turn.

The world’s greatest golfer and his not-yet-2-year-old son Bennett stole everyone’s hearts. Before teeing off, Scheffler let his son take some hacks from the tee box, melting fans hearts around the globe.
Just over a week ago, Scheffler and his wife, Meredith, welcomed their second child, Remy, into this Earth. Even the newborn made an appearance on the grounds at Augusta National.
Scheffler has always been known as a great family man. That was on full display as the Ridgewood, New Jersey native stands on the door of history.
He already has two green jackets in his closet. Well, technically, they have to remain on the grounds, but in his proverbial closet. If he is able to win for a third time, he would join a very exclusive list.
Only Jack Nicklaus (6), Tiger Woods (5), and Arnold Palmer (4) have won the Masters more.
There are also only five players to have won at Augusta three times: Jimmy Demaret, Sam Snead, Gary Player, Nick Faldo, Phil Mickelson.
