Ronda Rousey continues UFC war with ‘coming for your job’ jibe

Ronda Rousey has started a full-blown war against the UFC.

It was only last week that the former UFC champion blasted the ‘barely unrecognisable’ promotion amid the first press conference for her return to MMA against Gina Carano.

Rousey faces women’s MMA trailblazer-turned-actress Carano on May 16 live on Netflix, ending any potential hopes of a UFC comeback.

‘Rowdy’ was rumoured to end her 10-year UFC hiatus in 2026, but ended up partnering with Jake Paul‘s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) for her fighting return.

The 39-year-old revealed in the aftermath of the announcement that she attempted to make her comeback through the UFC, but it ‘didn’t exactly work out.’

After slamming the UFC for not putting on the best fights possible in the sport anymore, Rousey has continued her foul-mouthed tirade.

MVP announced the additions of ex-UFC stars Nate Diaz and Mike Perry to the stacked Rousey-Carano card on Monday, and the inaugural women’s UFC champion used the news as ammunition to fire.

Rousey teases new role in MMA with UFC dig

“Welcome to the revolution Nate Diaz, Mike Perry,” Rousey wrote on social media.

“It’s the FIGHTERS vs the establishment – and we’re gunna win! May 16 only on Netflix.

“PS Hunter Campbell p****d off the wrong b****. I’m coming for your job motherf***er.”

UFC CBO Campbell looks after most of the fight negotiations within the promotion and would have been discussing a return with Rousey before she joined MVP.

Reports suggest Rousey is eyeing a promoter role herself after fighting Carano.

Speaking during the press conference last week, she was asked if her return is a one-and-done.

“I guess it depends on how this one goes,” Rousey said.

“I really want some more babies, and it’s getting to the point in my life where I can’t really be taking detours anymore.

“I really want to be fully present for my husband and my kids. It gets to the point where it’s like, when are you going to be impressed enough with yourself to spend some time with your family.

“I feel like this is me trying to rewrite my ending with Gina and maybe it’s a Lord of the Rings ending that keeps going on and on and on.

“Or maybe it’s a grand finale… But I promised my husband this was definitely the last one.”

The former WWE superstar has since appeared at rival pro wrestling promotion AEW in what is seemingly another shot fired at UFC executives.

TKO Group Holdings is the parent company of the UFC and WWE, with a multi-billion-dollar deal completing the merger in 2023.
