Rangers’ Joc Pederson drops hilarious Jacob deGrom beer shower detail after 100th win

Monday night provided much cause for celebration for the Texas Rangers. Not only did they take an impressive 2-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals to come closer to the .500 mark with a 29-31 record, they also saw Jacob deGrom earn the 100th win of his career. deGrom became just the 14th active player to be a member of the century win mark, and he did so by pitching five shutout innings against the Cardinals while striking out eight.

The Rangers wasted no time celebrating deGrom’s latest achievement with the help of some refreshments in the locker room — with Joc Pederson very excited to get involved in the proceedings.

“That’s why he’s a multiple Cy Young winner. His 100th win — I think I’ve got to get inside to help with the beer shower. We got to wrap it up,” Pederson said, via Victory TV on X (formerly Twitter).

Pederson does indeed deserve to get involved in that locker room celebration, as he played a huge part in helping the Rangers give deGrom his 100th career win.

It wasn’t that long ago when Pederson was a laughingstock in a Rangers uniform. He had an OPS of .613 in 2025 and he started things off on the wrong foot in 2026. But Pederson has flipped the switch; since the seventh of May, the left-handed slugger has recorded an OPS of 1.041, and on Monday, he provided an RBI single in the fifth inning that proved to be the difference after the Cardinals pulled one back in the sixth.

Pitcher wins can be a very team-dependent stat, and the Rangers certainly did just enough on Monday to prevent an excellent start from deGrom from going to waste. The celebrations must have been very frenetic in the Rangers locker room, and they’ll be looking to continue the momentum they gained from this joyous occasion.
