Panthers’ Tetairoa McMillan shuts down injury concerns, expects quick rehab

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan hasn’t been able to participate in OTAs or mandatory minicamp as he’s dealing with a minor foot injury. On Wednesday, he opened up about the situation and claimed that it is nothing to worry about.

While talking with media members, the 23-year-old wideout claimed he is just dealing with soreness in his foot, according to Joe Person of The Athletic. Overall, McMillan appears to be confident moving forward with the injury and doesn’t believe he’ll have to undergo any kind of procedures.

“It’s just a little sore,” said McMillan about his injured foot. “That’s all it is. I feel good right now… It kinda occurred when I got back to [Charlotte]. But I’m healthy right now. Feel good. No concern at all.”

When the former first-round pick was asked if he thinks he’ll be good to go by training camp, McMillan claimed he hopes he’ll be ready to return by then, per Mike Kaye of the Charlotte Observer. From the sounds of it, the Panthers’ star appears to just need some time to fully recover.

“Asked Tetairoa McMillan (ankle soreness) if he was going to be ready for training camp, he said he hopes so because he feels good now,” reported Kaye.

The injury not being serious is music to the Panthers’ ears. McMillan proved to be a reliable No. 1 option for Carolina’s offense last season and is in line for a possibly big second year with the organization. McMillan ended the 2025-26 campaign with 70 receptions, 1,014 yards, and seven touchdowns.
