Packers’ Josh Jacobs released from jail as investigation remains open
Just a day after being arrested on domestic abuse charges, Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been released from prison, though the investigation remains open.
Jacobs was released from jail, per the Brown County District Attorney. His lawyers issued a statement in the wake of the news and noted that “no criminal charges have been filed against him.”
“We are extremely pleased that Josh has been released from custody and that no criminal charges have been filed against him,” Jacobs’ attorneys wrote. “As we previously stated, we encourage everyone to keep an open mind while the matter is fully reviewed. We remain confident that, once all of the evidence is gathered and evaluated, it will confirm that no charges should be brought against Josh in the future.”
