Next Southampton manager odds: Plethora of names in list to replace Tonda Eckert after Spygate
Southampton were kicked out of the Championship Play-Off Final and it could be just the start of a tough summer for the Saints as they could sack manager Tonda Eckert after Spygate.
The Spygate scandal which ultimately saw Southampton banned from taking part in a game that could have earned them more than £250million which has put into question whether a manager could survive such a loss, despite getting into the final.

Speculation is rife and the pressure is on the board to decide if they sack Eckert after the debacle.
A whole host of managers are in the odds to manage Southampton next season, including some big names with the hopes they will be able to retain much of their play-off reaching players.
John Mousinho is installed as the favourite but it’s still very much at a huge price, 6/1, with no decision in sight just yet.
Sean Dyche is also up there in the odds at 8/1 ahead of a list of managers at 10/1: Lee Carsley, Scott Parket, Gary Rowett, and Brian Barry Murphy.

If Eckert were to be sacked this list of potential replacements would be much shorter when the news comes out and these names make quick decisions on whether they’re throwing their hat in the ring.
As such, there’s a tonne of names that could be at St Mary’s with as many as six more managers installed at 12/1.
It’s not uncommon to see these kind of prices hammered in, when news comes out they are in talks with said club.
Realistic replacements of EFL managers would be favoured from punters here, as it’s hard to imagine a manager coming back from such a costly act.
Mousinho manages Portsmouth and it would be a huge shock to see him go to coastal rivals.
