Michael ‘Venom’ Page added to mooted Tom Aspinall UFC return card

The UFC has added seven fights to its upcoming UFC Paris card, including the return of Michael ‘Venom’ Page.

Page (25-3) is set to square off against Nursulton Ruziboev (37-9-2) on September 5 at the Accor Arena in the French capital.

It marks the Brit’s final fight on his current deal with the UFC.

The relationship between Page and the UFC has become strained over the last few months, with the 39-year-old taking exception to his placement on the recent UFC London card.

Page felt that his star power warranted at least a co-main event slot, but that privilege was given to the less established Luke Riley instead.

‘Venom’ went on to beat former training partner Sam Patterson via unanimous decision, but the low-output fight left a lot to be desired.

Page’s next opponent, Ruziboev, is ranked three places behind him in the welterweight ratings at No.15.

The Uzbek is 5-1 overall in the UFC and, like Page, has won three fights on the bounce.

He submitted Andrey Pulyaev in the first round last time out in June.

Who else is on the card?

As it stands, the other six fights announced for UFC Paris are as follows:

  • Mario Pinto vs Ryan Spann
  • Nora Cornolle vs Klaudia Sygula
  • Oumar Sy vs Modestas Bukauskas
  • Luis Felipe Dias vs Matthieu Letho Duclos
  • Kurtis Campbell vs Trevor Peek
  • Losene Keita vs Muhammad Naimov

Will Tom Aspinall’s return land on UFC Paris?

Several fights are expected to be added to the bill over the coming days, including the main event.

A potential headliner for the event could be a much-anticipated rematch between Tom Aspinall and Ciryl Gane.

Their inaugural encounter in October 2025, for Aspinall’s UFC heavyweight title, ended in a No-Contest after the champion was rendered unable to continue by a double eye poke.

Aspinall would later undergo multiple eye surgeries to fix his compromised vision and has since returned to the gym.

During Aspinall’s layoff, Gane picked up the interim heavyweight strap with a second-round stoppage victory over Alex Pereira at UFC Freedom 250.

In the immediate aftermath, Gane called for a second fight with Aspinall to take place on the UFC Paris card.

And the Brit was all too happy to oblige.

“Paris in September? I’ll do that,” he said in a live reaction to the callout.

“Let me know. I don’t mind. I’ll go to Paris. Let me know. I’ll be there.”

Aspinall has since entered into discussions with MMA’s premier promotion regarding his return, and is waiting to hear back about the date and location.

UFC Schedule

There are still several blockbuster shows and exciting contests for fight fans to look forward to in 2026, and you can find the full list of all confirmed events and official bouts as part of talkSPORT.com’s UFC schedule.

The UFC, on average, puts on 13 to 14 premium events in a calendar year, with up to 30 smaller ‘Fight Night’ cards allowing prospects and less experienced fighters to showcase their talents.

On January 1, 2026, Dana White’s promotion signed a seven-year broadcast deal with CBS and Paramount+ for exclusive rights in the US, meaning the UFC has put on shows like never before this year.

With the historic first event in the new Paramount era, UFC 324, delivering huge success, and a one-of-a-kind fight card at the White House in June opening up the UFC to a new audience, the promotion remains a premium global sports brand, and fans are eager to keep track of results and upcoming fights.
