Major update shared on Jake Paul’s boxing return

Last year, on Dec. 19, 2025, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, Anthony Joshua defeated Jake Paul in a dominant sixth-round victory. Despite Paul displaying a fair fight in the first few rounds, Joshua soon took over and turned the tide on him. Unable to match the weight difference, Paul lost to the British heavyweight.

Undergone a second surgery for the broken jaw suffered at the hands of Joshua, Paul was also recently indefinitely suspended from boxing due to medical reasons. Now undergoing training for his comeback, Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian opened up and revealed the plans for “The Problem Child’s” comeback.

“He saw his specialists last Wednesday. They gave him a kind of great progress report. The plan is for him to be back sparring two months from now,” Bidarian told Fox News Digital. “That’s when they feel like that’s the point to get back into sparring, not training, but sparring. And I think that’s the telltale moment, right? How does your jaw react to that? I think his plan, our intention, is a 2026 return, but that will be predicated by how it all goes once he’s actually back in there getting hit in the face.”

While there are no confirmed updates on his return, Paul had recently shared some insights on his possible comeback while speaking to Ariel Helwani. “I’m getting some new scans in a couple of days on the jaw to get an update on the healing process,” Paul said. “We’ll see what my doctors say and if I can even fight again. That is definitely within the realm of possibility. It does feel a lot better as the weeks and time go by. I think it just depends on how the bone heals. There’s also a tooth missing here, and I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to get some sort of implant. We just have to wait and figure out what the smartest thing is for me.”
