‘Let’s see’ – Snoop Dogg could turn up at EFL match after Winter Olympics trip finishes
Swansea boss Vitor Matos has hinted that Snoop Dogg could turn up for his first EFL match after his Winter Olympics trip draws to a close.
Snoop became a minority co-owner and investor for the Swans in July, joining Luka Modric behind the scenes.

TV personality Martha Stewart followed suit in December as Swansea look to assemble a celebrity-Avengers level board to boost the club’s reputation.
The rapper admitted last month that he wants to turn Swansea into a ‘global name’.
“I want to be real hands on, I want to take the club in a direction maybe it hasn’t been before,” he said.
“We want to take Swansea to the Premier League, and to do that we are going to need money – that’s the reality of the game these days.
“I want to introduce sponsorship deals and publicity that will make them a global name.”
Snoop-ing around
However, the California-born singer is yet to take in a Swansea match, though is keen to make the trip across the pond to take in a game live.
“For real I want to meet with the fans,” Snoop Dogg said when asked whether he wants to attend a Swansea clash.
“These fans are passionate, they are real, and I want to hear what they got to say when I am in Swansea.
“I knew I always wanted to invest in a soccer team – it’s been a dream of mine for years, it was all about waiting for the right opportunity.”
Snoop is currently with the US team in Milan for the Winter Olympics, having been a regular presence at the 2024 Olympics.

The 54-year-old was routinely photographed around Paris during the 17-day event in 18 months ago.
Snoop’s role at the Winter Olympics
In Milan, meanwhile, he will lend his voice as a commentator for sports broadcaster NBC, and was named Team USA’s first ever honorary coach.
Announcing his role at the Winter Olympics, Snoop said: “I’m just here to cheer, uplift and maybe drop a little wisdom from the sidelines, Team USA athletes are the real stars.
“This team represents the best of what sport can be: talent, heart and hustle. If I can bring a little more love and motivation to that, that’s a win for me.”
Top Dogg
And having already made the trip to Europe, Swansea boss Vitor Matos was asked whether the rapper will stop in at the Swansea.com Stadium to watch them in action this month.

“I don’t know,” Matos said after Swansea’s resounding 4-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.
“I need to wait to see if he has a flight booking or not, but let’s see.
“The most important thing is that the ownership is quite close to me and quite close to the players, and that’s what we want as a club and as a manager, I’m really pleased with that.”
Matos was also asked about Snoop’s comments on turning Swansea into a global name, to which the 37-year-old added: “I think that’s part of the vision and part of the culture that we want to build.
“It’s important that we have owners with that vision but at the same time with the responsibility and the care they have. I’m really pleased with that. Let’s see about the flight tickets.”
Swansea’s huge win over the doomed Owls saw the Welsh side go ten points clear of the relegation zone and within five of the final play-off spot.
