Lakers sign Kobe Bufkin to 2-year contract
Following the NBA trade deadline, the Lakers had one open roster spot which they used to sign Kobe Bufkin to a two-year contract, as per Shams Charania of ESPN. Bufkin had previously played for the Lakers on a 10-day contract last month, and the team opted not to re-sign him to another 10-day. After his initial 10-day expired, Bufkin went back to the G League with the Lakers’ South Bay affiliate where he had begun the season. This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
The Los Angeles Lakers are signing guard Kobe Bufkin to a two-year deal, with a team option for the 2026-27 season, sources tell ESPN. Bufkin has starred for L.A.'s South Bay affiliate and now rejoins the Lakers in his third NBA season to fill their 15th roster spot. pic.twitter.com/Z1m3M4KvTM
