Things are going well for the New York Knicks after advancing in the playoffs following their 51-point beatdown of the Atlanta Hawks, and superfan Ben Stiller is loving it.

Stiller reacted to a moment from Karl-Anthony Towns’ postgame press conference. KAT acknowledged that they “didn’t play our best basketball” at times in the series, but dominant Game 5 and 6 wins made a “statement about who we could be when we’re clicking on all cylinders.”

The Meet the Parents actor couldn’t agree more. He responded to Towns’ comments, saying, “This team knows the assignment. No question.”

He also reacted to the back cover of the Friday, May 1 issue of the New York Post, which features Towns high-fiving fans after Game 6 with the headline “140-89! Knicks look unstoppable in historic romp.”

Stiller proudly said, “New York woke up to this.”

On Thursday, Apr. 30, 2026, the Knicks returned to Atlanta to play the Hawks in Game 6 of their playoff series. The Knicks were riding high after a 29-point win two nights earlier, and they topped that by winning by 51 points.

While Towns wasn’t an offensive powerhouse, he had his triple-double of the series. Towns scored 12 points — 10 of which came from the free throw line — and had 11 rebounds and 10 assists. OG Anunoby was the team’s leading scorer with 29 points on 11-14 shooting.

It was ugly throughout. The Knicks were up 40-15 after the end of the first quarter. Going into halftime, they were up 83-36. The third and fourth quarters were more competitive, but it was way too late for Atlanta.

Now, the Knicks will have a few extra days off before playing their next playoff opponent. Game 7 between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics will be played on Saturday, May 2, 2026, to determine the Knicks’ opponent for their next series.
