Josh Allen, Hailee Steinfeld on life as new parents

Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld are embracing their life as new parents.

The couple welcomed their baby girl earlier this month, and the actress shared how things are going for them now that they are a family of three.

“I have been going back and forth on so many details—more than I care to admit,” she shared with Architectural Digest about the nursery, “but it really has been such a fun part about getting ready for this new season of life.”

She described the nursery as “bright and airy and comfortable,” and “inviting.”

The Pitch Perfect actress added that it’s somewhere “you could spend hours in and not get tired of.”

Steinfeld announced that they welcomed their baby girl on her newsletter, Beau Society, earlier this month.

“To say we are unbelievably happy and in love with this baby girl would be an understatement,” the actress wrote in on April 3, two days after she revealed their little one had arrived. “I’m soaking in the newborn bliss.”

In her post on her newsletter, she shared the questions she would ask herself during her pregnancy.

“The most profound and grounding part of getting ready for this baby has been the introspective side of it: the quiet conversations I’m having with myself almost every day,” she explained. “Sometimes I find myself asking big, lofty questions (what am I going to be like as a mom?) or having vivid daydreams of what our life is about to look like when the three of us are cuddled up in the nursery together.”

All in all, Steinfeld is in awe this this “surreal” experience.

She continued, “I’ve experienced this surreal, full-body awareness that our world is about to expand in beautiful ways. We’re getting ready to meet someone we already love so much. I’ve racked my brain for words to describe that feeling, and I don’t have them yet. Maybe that’s the point. For now, I’m blessed to be settling into the feeling.”
