Jake Ferguson sends scary warning to opponents about Cowboys offense

After missing the playoffs the last two seasons, the Dallas Cowboys are entering 2026 looking to get back on track. Tight end Jake Ferguson is expecting Dallas’ offense to lead the way.

The Cowboys will be entering year two of the Brian Schottenheimer era. Between him calling plays and the pieces Dallas has on offense, Ferguson knows the sky is the limit, via Jon Machota of the Athletic.

“Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson says Dallas has only “barely scratched the surface” of who they can be on offense,” Ferguson said. “He also said this is the best talent he’s seen in the Cowboys’ tight end room.’

When it comes to tight ends, Ferguson will once again be the top option. He was named a Pro Bowler in 2025 after setting career-highs in receptions (80) and touchdowns (eight), adding 600 receiving yards. Behind him will be playing like Luke Schoonmaker, Brevyn Spann-Ford and a litany of other pass catchers looking to carve out a role.

As for the Cowboys’ offense at large, there hasn’t been to many major additions over the offseason. Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling might be their most recognizable free agent addition on that side of the ball.

Still, the Cowboys finished the 2025 campaign ranked second in total offense, averaging 391.9 yards per game. They know all the pieces are there for continued success. The next step of the plan is turning their top tier offense into wins.

Even finishing second though, Ferguson thinks the Cowboys can do much more. An even greater offensive explosive would certainly boost Dallas’ playoff hopes.
