The Australian has been doing the rounds ahead of his new thriller Crime 101, alongside Oscar winner Halle Berry.

Berry acted in the 2020 MMA film Bruise, during which current UFC women’s pound-for-pound No. 1 fighter and flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko makes an appearance.

In a video with Complex, Berry discussed her love for the sport before Hemsworth admitted he’s also a huge fight fan.

George St-Pierre, I love,” Hemsworth responded when asked who his favourite fighters are.

“Because he’s one of the all time greats, but seems like a gentleman with an intelligent soul as well.

Alexander Volkanovski, [too], Australian, and a good friend of mine.”

Speaking on who would be a good matchup for him, Hemsworth joked: “One of the ones who retired a long time ago.

“I can just run away from them until they get tired and [motions a punch].

“No, I wouldn’t put myself in the ring, but a part of me wants to though actually having said that.

“I mean, I’ve trained a lot and sparred a lot over the years, but within the realm of not killing each other.

“I’d love to just one day go, ‘Right, what have I gotten here?’ I’d probably end up flat on my back, starry-eyed.”

St-Pierre is widely recognised as one of the greatest champions in UFC history, having made an astonishing 13 title defences in his illustrious career.

Volkanovski, meanwhile, is the current featherweight champion in Dana White‘s promotion.

‘The Great’ reclaimed his belt by defeating Diego Lopes at UFC 314 in April and beat the Brazilian for the second time to defend it at UFC 325 this month.
