Punjab Kings (PBKS) square off against the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Monday, May 11.

The Kings and Capitals played earlier in the season at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. It was the record-shattering match, where the Kings chased down 265 runs to win. They broke the record for the highest successful run chase in T20 cricket.

If the two teams get involved in another high-scoring run fest, fans will be in for a riveting treat.

Punjab Kings have six wins from 10 games and one point from a washout. Meanwhile, the Capitals have only four wins from 11 games.

Here are the key player battles in PBKS vs DC, Match 55 of IPL 2026:

3. Priyansh Arya vs Lungi Ngidi

Priyansh Arya has made some scintillating impact, despite not playing too many balls each game. The southpaw has scored 286 runs in nine innings at a mind-boggling strike rate of 242.37.

Lungi Ngidi has bowled impressively so far this season, carrying his form from the T20 World Cup 2026. The veteran seamer has bamboozled batters with his clever use of variations.

2. KL Rahul vs Arshdeep Singh

KL Rahul has once again scored tons of runs but what has been different this season has been his intent to take the bowlers on from the get-go. He has scored 468 runs in 11 innings at a strike rate of 180.

Arshdeep Singh has been having an underwhelming season by his lofty standards. The left-arm seamer has taken 11 wickets from 10 matches but his economy rate is a concerning 10.42.

1. Shreyas Iyer vs Mitchell Starc

Shreyas Iyer has led his team from the front. The Punjab Kings' captain has amassed 333 runs in nine innings at an average of 47.57 and a strike rate of 164.04. He will look to play another captain's knock on Monday.

Mitchell Starc has bowled brilliantly ever since he joined the team mid-season. If there is some movement, Starc will pose a massive challenge with the new ball. His contest with Iyer would be intriguing to watch.
