Hull City explore cancelling play-off final for automatic promotion to Premier League amid Spygate chaos
Hull City are consulting with lawyers to see if they have a case to be promoted straight to the Premier League after play-off final opponents Southampton were kicked out, talkSPORT understands.
Hull officials are not happy they now have to face Middlesbrough at Wembley on Saturday having spent more than a week preparing to play Southampton.

Saints were expelled from the final yesterday, with an appeal hearing taking place later today when they hope to be reinstated.
The club will argue that while they admit breaching EFL rules, the punishment is too harsh.
Hull’s players had a pre-arranged day off today, meaning they will have just two days to train to play Boro if Saints’ appeal fails.
