Howie Roseman’s exasperated A.J. Brown trade answer after Eagles’ Dontayvion Wicks deal
Recently, the Philadelphia Eagles shook things up by trading future draft compensation to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks. The move immediately generated speculation that the team could be looking to move on from wide receiver AJ Brown this offseason after a turbulent year for the star in 2025-26.
Now, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has given a sarcastic update on his line of thinking on the Brown trade front when asked about it recently.
“What do you think the odds are that I’m answering this question any different than I answered it anywhere else? Like really, do you think that’s 50 percent? Do you think it’s 75 percent?” said Roseman, per Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network on X, formerly Twitter.
Garafolo also noted that Roseman clarified that “AJ Brown’s an Eagle.”
Indeed, Roseman has been asked about the subject of a potential Brown trade for multiple years now, and things don’t appear to be quieting down anytime soon.
Brown had yet another incident of publicly making his discontent known this past year with a social media post in the wake of a lack of targets. While Brown did see his usage go up as the season progressed, he left fans with a bad taste in their mouths in the final game of the season, when he dropped multiple crucial passes in Philadelphia’s uninspiring loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card game, drawing a chorus of boos from the home crowd.
Still, it doesn’t appear that Roseman and the Eagles’ front office have any plans of moving on from Brown anytime soon, despite the recent acquisition of Wicks.
