England's football team captain and star athlete Harry Kane has left the internet in splits after his recent post, where he was seen in an unusual cricket practice, posting a few pictures from his fun session on the sidelines of the football ground. The timing of the post, though, has left the netizens wondering whether Kane is taking a cheeky dig at the possible dethroning of Ben Stokes as the captain of England's cricket team.

Notably, Stokes has been having a bad time of late. While he led England to a brilliant Test win against New Zealand in the first match at Lord's, the post-match attendance at a sports bar during late hours of the night following the game and a brawl with a rugby player alongside fellow teammate Gus Atkinson has taken the cricketing fraternity into a moment of shame, asking the cricketer to step down.

Thus, Kane's social media post has gone insanely viral, with several set of football and cricket followers claiming that the footballer is taking a cheeky dig at the star all-rounder, who is touted among the best of this generation. However, Kane also tagged the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the post, the current IPL champions, which also took them away from rumours, as Stokes has never been associated with RCB.

"Always ready if needed, @englandcricket & @RCBTweets! 👀😂," Kane posted on his official social media handles.

It is worth mentioning that Stokes is set to engage in a serious conversation with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the management regarding his future with the Test team. Popular reports in the English media have also suggested that Stokes might consider taking a retirement from the red-ball format in case things do not work out as per his likings.

Speaking of Harry Kane, the footballer is currently preparing to lead England at the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, which is set to be played in the Americas. Kane-led England are considered among the top contenders for a title at the biggest event in sports in the upcoming edition of the quadrennial event.
