Hamzah Sheeraz batters opponent in two-round demolition to capture world title and reach milestone
Hamzah Sheeraz blasted out a helpless and overmatched Alem Begic to become world champion for the first time.
Sheeraz was looking to become a world champion for the first time of his career on the Oleksandr Usyk vs Rico Verhoeven card.

He took on 39-year-old Alem Begic for the WBO super-middleweight title which was vacated by Terence Crawford.
It looked like a comfortable opportunity for the 6ft 3ins giant on paper.
And he did shook off any nerves to deliver a punch-perfect demolition job to reach new heights.
Victory sees the Ilford talent become world champion for the first time, as a crushing body shot closed the show in the second round.
Just before the bell, a whipping left hand to the body landed for Sheeraz after a swift barrage.
Begic immediately felt the power and took a knee after a punishing six minutes and the referee stepped in.
He waved off the contest and it was domination and destruction from Sheeraz who battered his way to a routine win.
A stunning way to win the title for the British prodigy, who will now be looking to move on to the big-name fights at 168lbs.
What next for Sheeraz – Canelo fight?
Canelo Alvarez was sat ringside watching on, in what could be a potential clash for the future.
But he welcomed all comers at 168lbs and insisted it would be an honour to take on the Mexican icon.
On his performance and a potential clash, he said: “I did what I was meant to do tonight, let’s not get it twisted.
“But now I’m officially on the world stage – calling on all 168 pounders!
“I’ll fight anyone. There is boxing royalty at ringside tonight and I’m trying to follow them.
“I’m beating whoever is put in front of me, I’m going to collect all the belts and this time next year you could see Hamzah Sheeraz as unified champion in the 168 division.
“If Canelo wins, that is up to him [if he fights me]. He is one of the GOATs in boxing, so to share the ring with him would be an honour.
“If I get the opportunity, I’ll definitely be getting the win.”
