Giants’ outfielders do funniest thing possible after thrusting celebration ban
The MLB season is long and grueling, and the San Francisco Giants have been trying to have fun during their 162 days of work. The outfield consisting of Harrison Bader, Drew Gilbert, and Jung Hoo Lee, in particular, has been trying their best to add entertainment to the monotony of regular season baseball.
After a 9-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on May 11, the outfield trio celebrated in bizarre fashion, with a trifecta of thrusts that some deemed inappropriate. Andrew Baggarly reported that the celebration was a one-and-done, as the players were asked not to do it again.
The Giants again executed a brilliant win against their division rival, arguably the best team in baseball, on May 12, and the outfield decided to poke fun at the ban of the thrusting celebration. With Heliot Ramos in the game in place of Bader, the Giants’ outfield did a 180 and went for the most respectful celebration possible. The trio gathered in center field, removed their caps, and hit a simple bow.

Ultimately, it doesn’t matter too much how the Giants celebrate as long as they keep winning. The team has won four of their last five games, and two more victories against the Dodgers would lead to their first sweep of the season. The Giants are 18-24 and in fourth place in the National League West, but intra divisional wins can change that quickly.
