Ally McCoist has chosen his acca for the week’s football on talkSPORT BET!

Leeds to beat Nottingham Forest away (Saturday 3PM)

Leeds United boss Daniel Farke changed up his style at the back end of last season and his pragmatism paid off as he steered the club to Premier League safety.

They open the new season with a tough-looking away game at Nottingham Forest – but could Leeds’ stability prove to be the telling factor here.

New Forest boss Oliver Glasner will take some time to implement his tactical philosophy and this could open the door for Leeds to strike an early blow.

Much will ride on striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s shoulders. But with new signing Harry Wilson going forward and a future England number 1 in James Trafford between the sticks, Leeds represent good value here.

Prediction: Leeds Utd – 21/10
Draw – 12/5
Nottingham Forest – 13/10

Everton to beat Crystal Palace at home (Saturday 3PM)

Another match up of stability versus new manager. David Moyes’ Everton could well make the most of home advantage against a Crystal Palace side with Pierre Sage taking charge of his first Premier League match.

The Toffees could still probably do with one or two more attacking signings, but their creativity was bolsters with the arrival of arguably the Championship best player in Hayden Hackney this summer.

A defence that includes James Tarkowski and Jarred Branthwaite will be tough to break down. If forwards Beto and Thierno Barry have their shooting boots, it could fire them to victory.

Prediction: Everton – 23/20
Draw – 5/2
Crystal Palace – 23/10

Sunderland to beat Ipswich away (Saturday 3PM)

Sunderland finished seventh in their first season back in the top flight with Europa League qualification the cherry on top.

They’ve managed to keep captain Granit Xhaka out of the clutches of Chelsea this summer and have largely had a settled summer.

Regis Le Bris has shown he can adapt to whatever’s thrown at him during his tenure so far.

Brian Brobbey should be handful for the newly-promoted Ipswich defence.

This match could well be one of the game’s of the weekend but The Black Cats should edge it with the Premier League proven quality.

Prediction: Sunderland – 31/20
Draw – 12/5
Ipswich – 17/10

Tottenham to beat Brentford away (Saturday 3PM)

Tottenham are on the cusp of signing Man City forward Savinho for an initial £75m which should significantly bolster their wide midfield options.

They’ve already restructured their defence and midfield with the likes of Jan Paul van Hecke, Matheus Fernandes and £100m signing Sandro Tonali arriving at Hotspur Way.

Gaffer Roberto De Zerbi will demand a Spurs side that play attractive football but more pressingly, are challenging towards the top of the league again.

Keith Andrews could have easily been manager of the year in his debut season at Brentford. And has one of the most potent strikers in the league in Igor Thiago leading the line.

But Spurs have shown real ambition in the transfer market and should overpower The Bees to claim all three points.

Prediction: Tottenham – 7/4
Draw – 13/5
Brentford – 13/10
