Galatasaray will also head into this evening’s clash in confident mood having won each of their last three matches, making it eight wins in their last 10 in all competitions.

One of those defeats came in the second leg of their Champions League knockout phase play-off against Juventus, from which they still progressed.

Recent victories have put Okan Buruk’s side four points clear at the top of the Super Lig, but focus will firmly be on their European campaign now as they compete in the last 16 of the Champions League for the first time in 12 years.
