Friend of Dianna Russini, Dan LeBatard believes more is coming on Mike Vrabel

As the Dianna Russini saga continues, radio host Dan LeBatard believes that more is in store for New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. LeBatard has had to navigate tricky waters in his coverage of the Russini-Vrabel story as he is close friends with Russini and the sports journalist has been on his show before. But even with him being careful with the topic, he didn’t shy away from predicting more information forthcoming about Vrabel.

I’ve got somebody who I care about, who must be feeling pretty terrible right now. And I don’t want to make any of this worse…This is a nightmare for the parties involved. Everybody involved. This is a real public nightmare. There are kids involved. And everybody clucking about this at work and everywhere else. I understand how it is that anyone is going to criticize crisis management because it’s weird in the middle of the night to throw us counseling. But let’s check the timeline here for a second because it does feel like they’re warning us that more is coming. Just in the same way that Melania comes out and does that press conference on Epstein out of nowhere.”

On Thursday, ESPN reported that Vrabel committed to seeking counseling and would not be present during Day 3 of the NFL Draft. On Tuesday, the Patriots coach addressed the media for the first time since Russini’s departure from The Athletic, and the photos of her and Vrabel were published in the New York Post.

“What I can promise you is that my family, this organization, the team, the staff, the coaches, everybody – our fans, most importantly − will get the best version of me going forward,” he said in part during the press conference.
