Former WWE champion Jack Swagger scores huge KO on debut for Dana White’s Power Slap
Jake Hager, known as Jack Swagger from his WWE days, was successful on his Power Slap debut Friday night.
The 44-year-old two-time WWE champion put fellow American Devin Jenkins on his back in round three of their heavyweight clash in Las Vegas.

Hager landed squarely on Jenkins’ cheek with a thunderous left hand and his opponent’s knees buckled instantly as he crashed to the canvas.
‘Big Jinx’ briefly made it back to his feet but quickly collapsed to the ground once more, prompting the referee to wave off the fight.
UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping confirmed from the commentary booth that Jenkins was ‘carried off stage’ and ‘not in a good way’ following the KO defeat.
Hager: Power Slap up there with WWE and MMA
“I’m excited to get that first win out of the way,” Hager, who boasts a pro MMA record of 3-0 following his stint at Bellator in 2019 and 2020, said.
“I know I belong here now and I’m looking forward to building on tonight and only getting better.
“After I took that first shot, I was pretty confident that I was in no danger.
“I was always worried about my accuracy being a new guy and I feel like I put it right on the button tonight.”
Asked if he found anything surprising about competing in Power Slap, Hager added: “Nope, it was exactly what I thought it was going to be.
“I prepared for it and just like pro wrestling, just like MMA, Power Slap is up there with the best, so let’s continue going.”
Hager said he had a ‘big ice pack’ and a ‘cold beer’ to look forward to after his victory.

When did Jake Hager win his WWE titles?
The Oklahoma native has been involved in the combat sports world for years now.
He first entered the WWE in September 2008 through the ECW brand, winning his first world title by defeating Matt Hardy in early 2009.
Hager then made his official promotional debut on Raw the following June.
He was crowned the world heavyweight champion one year later by defeating Chris Jericho, having won Money in the Bank at WrestleMania XXVI.
Power Slap 19 took place at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Sin City.
Newly crowned UFC light heavyweight champion Carlos Ulberg, who suffered a torn ACL during his win against Jiri Prochazka, was in attendance.

As was Conor Benn, who has just signed a new deal with Zuffa Boxing.
