Fever’s Caitlin Clark gushes over favorite ballpark besides Wrigley Field

After being initially listed as probable against the Golden State Valkyries due to a back injury, Indiana Fever guard Cailtin Clark is good to go on Thursday at Chase Center.

The Fever, who are coming off a week-long break, are looking for their fourth straight win. Indiana defeated Golden State, 90-82, in their first meeting just a few days ago, with Clark tallying 22 points and nine assists.

Clark’s back injury has bothered her since their first outing, but she has assured that it is nothing to worry about.

On Wednesday, she attended the game between the San Francisco Giants and the Arizona Diamondbacks, even meeting Golden State Warriors guard Brandin Podziemski on her first time at Oracle Park.

The 24-year-old Clark was happy about her experience.

“Oracle was on my bucket list. We got here two days early, so I was like, ‘I gotta try to go.’ We had early practice, so I was a few innings late, but I got over there, and honestly, I was in the second row. I’m not gonna complain about being in the second row, but it might be one of those ballparks where the nosebleeds might be better than behind home plate. But obviously, 65 and sunny right on the bay, a baseball game in the middle of the bay, that’s not too bad,” said Clark in the video posted by 95.7 The Game.

“I obviously love Wrigley Field, but Oracle is maybe a close second (favorite), but I don’t know. They can still outduel each other. It was fun. Cool park.”

The Giants, however, lost, 3-2.

Last week, Clark also took in a different sport after attending the Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway as a grand marshal. She said she understood the significance of the role, as it is one of the most honored in the city.

Clark is averaging 23.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 9.0 assists, and 1.0 steals.
