Fans dig up Dianna Russini’s 2020 post amid photo controversy

A post from Dianna Russini’s X account has resurfaced online following the Mike Vrabel scandal.

Russini and Vrabel were seen enjoying themselves at a resort in Sedona, Arizona, earlier this month. It was the beginning that led to the now-scandal, as both Russini and Vrabel are married to other people. Fans have been scouring her social media and have found another post to analyze.

On March 12, 2020, Russini, who was an ESPN NFL reporter at the time, posted on X, “What a day.”

Fans were making sexual innuendos in the comment section, while one fan gave her some credit that the post had nothing to do with the alleged relationship between the two.

“Day after sports were cancelled cause of Covid ….. I’ll let this tweet slide,” one fan wrote to Russini’s defense.

How have the New England Patriots responded to the scandal?

Vrabel broke his silence on the scandal and shared that he will be seeking treatment following the alleged incident.

“As I said the other day, I promised my family, this organization, and this team that I was going to give them the best version of me that I can possibly give them. In order to do so, I have committed to seeking counseling, starting this weekend,” Vrabel said, per Nicole Yang of the Boston Globe.

The Patriots to which Vrabel once played for as a linebacker for eight seasons for the organization and now coached last season leading the team to their first Super Bowl appearance since 2019, shared that they are supportive of his decision to seek counseling.

“The New England Patriots fully support Mike Vrabel’s decision to prioritize his family first, as well as his own well-being. Mike has been open with us about his commitment to being the best version of himself for his family, this team and our fans, and we respect the steps he is taking to follow through on that commitment,” Adam Schefter shared on X on behalf of the Patriots.

“We are confident in the leadership and communication Mike has established with our personnel staff throughout this pre-draft process. While he will not be present at the facility on Saturday, we know the draft evaluations are complete and Eliot Wolf and his personnel staff are prepared to execute our draft as planned this weekend.”

Vrabel will not be present at the 2026 NFL Draft and following TMZ releasing more photos of he and Russini, he is gearing up to make another statement.
