Fans brutaly troll UFC legend Conor McGregor over post-surgery comeback post

Last month in Jul. 2026, Conor McGregor made his long-awaited five-year return to the octagon. Battling several injuries and controversies, McGregor came back at UFC 329 in a fight against arch-nemesis Max Holloway. Despite being heavily favored to win, McGregor ended up losing to Holloway.

Just seconds into the fight, McGregor attempted a jumping roundhouse kick, which possibly resulted in an ACL and meniscus injury. A few more failed attempts later, McGregor had to be ruled out of the fight.

Now successfully undergone surgery, “The Notorious One” announced his comeback journey on social media. “Surgery done. Knee repaired. The doubters can keep talking. I didn’t run from the pain. I walked straight into it. Now the real work begins. Comeback season starts now. No shortcuts. No excuses. Just the will to rise again,” McGregor wrote.

However, his comeback message was not taken lightly by the fans, who decided to troll him instead. “How many comebacks is this guy gonna have?” wrote one user. Another one commented, “How can you have a comeback when you were never back shut the f**k up and stay retired. You’re not a fighter anymore.” “Next time u fight, the tickets should be half price…People were short changed last time,” wrote another user. Another user asked McGregor to hang up his gloves now, “Sooner or later it’s better to listen to your body and just pack it up. Live your life without the constant worry of injury and permanent pain.”

While the Irishman has promised his fans to have his last fight in 2027, former UFC fighter Darren Till believes it would be best for McGregor to retire now.
