Dwyane Wade’s son arrested for felony domestic violence
Zaire Wade, the son of Miami Heat legend and minority owner of the Utah Jazz, Dwyane Wade, was reportedly arrested early in the morning of Sunday, June 21, according to TMZ. It’s said that Wade was arrested on three charges, one of which was for felony domestic violence.
TMZ reported that police arrived at a Burbank home at 5:30 a.m. PST on Sunday after calls were made about a woman screaming. Officers arrived, allegedly finding Zaire Wade, along with a woman with lacerations on her face and body.
“Dwyane Wade’s son has been arrested for felony domestic violence,” reported TMZ. “Zaire Wade — the NBA Hall of Famer’s eldest child — was arrested and booked by the Burbank Police Department on Sunday. He was booked on three charges. Felony domestic violence, criminal threats, and false imprisonment, and an emergency protective order has been issued…
“According to NBC4, Burbank police were called to a home around 5:30 AM on Sunday after receiving a call about a woman screaming. When officers showed up, the outlet reports they found Zaire and a woman with lacerations on her face and body,” continued TMZ. “Despite her alleged injuries, the woman was reportedly not transported to the hospital. Zaire was released later in the day after posting a $50K bond.”
It was also said that TMZ reached out to Zaire Wade to comment. However, the media group was denied.
Zaire Wade played high school basketball at Sierra Canyon High School in his senior year alongside LeBron James’ son, Bronny. After high school, he opted not to partake in college basketball and instead pursued opportunities in the NBA G League and overseas.
